Beyro (also spelled Beyo) is an aromatic wood used in Somali incense traditions.
Unlike frankincense, which is a resin, Beyro is a bark-like wood shavings that release a warm, smoky depth when burned.
It is commonly added to frankincense to enhance burn time, intensity, and complexity of the scent. 

The combination is used to create Uunsi — traditional incense burned for:

High-quality Boswellia Sacra (especially Hojari) can be infused in water or chewed, but only food-grade resin should be used. Always follow proper guidance. 

Color depends on the species, region, tapping season, and tree age. Hojari can appear white, green, or golden; Somali types tend to be darker and stickier.
